Blacklisted IP Address

If you suddenly experience problems with email such as bouncebacks explaining your IP address is blacklisted, this is usually due to the fact that you have inherited a bad IP address from your ISP.

Most internet providers assign a dynamic IP address (this means that everytime "you log on" to the internet you receive a different IP address) and therefore it is possible that the user using that IP address before you may have been "sending out spam ", therefore that IP address gets blacklisted.

I recommend paying for a static IP address and performing weekly scans on your networked machines to eliminate this problem.

So how do I send my email then?

Try rebooting your router, this will then re-connect and assign you another IP address, hopefully not a blacklisted one this time wink.
Alternatively there should be a link included in the returned email to the list which has your IP address blacklisted, you should be able to follow this and request removal, but why do that when a quick reboot should get you on your way.
