Email Setup

Depending on your business and personal email requirements, you may choose from two options for setting up your email on your Blackberry.

For this guide we will be setting up a personal account.

Personal Email

Configuring a blackberry isn't all that difficult but I always recommend giving your provider a call first to talk you through it.
Firstly, you will need your blackberry pin and IMEI number which can be found in the settings page or on the original box and browse to your mobile phone providers blackberry internet service page. If you don't know this I have provided links on the right ( please report broken links here).

BlackBerry Internet Service(BIS)

1. Select Create New Account
2. Select I have read and understand the legal terms and conditions and click I agree.
3. Login using the Device Pin and IMEI number as previously mentioned.
4. Enter your user credentials you would like to have as your BIS account details.
5. Select Sign Up.

You will now be presented with a new screen where you can setup your email account/s.

Setup Email Account

1. Login using your credentials specified for your BIS account.
2. Under Setup an Existing Email Account type in your email address and password.
3. A dialogue box should now appear confirming the success of your setup.

If you experience problems you can manually configure the settings but would need to consult your hosting provider to attain the correct details.
