Create An Out Of Office Reply In Outlook 2003
First we need to create a template...
• Open a new email page (as though you were going to send a new email) formatted with plain text.
• Type in your text as you want your reply to be seen by senders.
• Go to file and click save as, then select Outlook Template.
• Type a name and click save.
Now we have our template we need to set the rule....
• Select tools and then select rules and alerts
• Click new rule in Email rules
• In Rules Wizard click start from a blank rule, click check messages when they arrive and click next
• Under which conditions do you want to check, click sent only to me or whichever you want and click next
• Under "What do you want to do with the message", click "reply using a specific template"
• On the Step 2: Edit the Rule Description page of the wizard, click the underlined phrase a specific template
• In the Select A Reply Template dialog box, click the template that you saved above and then click Open.
• Complete further instructions and click finish and ok
